MATCHA? In Oats?!

Yes, I know… I was skeptical at first too. Matcha green tea is definitely an ingredient that people either LOVE or HATE. When I first tried matcha I wasn’t the biggest fan. But then I tried a Starbucks matcha latte and it had me at the first sip. Since then, my love for matcha continues to grow! I think it will for you too when you understand all its amazing benefits (which I will get to later).

At first, I was terrified to try Matcha Overnight Oats! What if they tasted bad? Then I would be stuck with no breakfast and a loss of precious ingredients.

Well folks, let me tell you… these overnight oats DO NOT disappoint! (and no ingredients were wasted in the creating of this recipe)

The KEY Ingredient… (Besides Matcha)

I believe the key ingredient to making these oats taste amazing is the protein powder. That’s where a lot of the sweetness and flavor comes from, so just make sure you are using one you like the taste of!

I use Ideal Raw Vanilla Protein Powder. This stuff is bomb. I’ve been using Ideal Raw for years and I couldn’t be happier with the texture, mixability, and overall taste of the protein. And most importantly, THE CLEAN INGREDIENTS!

ENERGIZING Coffee Alternative

Love coffee but hate the jitters? Or, just looking for a boost of healthy energy for your extra tough days?

Look no further because matcha green tea is a clean source of caffeine that comes with NO JITTERS or other negative side effects that can be associated with coffee and energy drinks.

You will feel an energy BOOST after eating these overnight oats because of the natural properties found in matcha.

Grab these out of the fridge as an alternative to making your morning cup o’ joe and you’ll be ready to conquer your day.

I just want to add some feedback that the recipe photo and details all say “dairy free” and “vegan” but then the ingredients list Greek yogurt. Are there any dairy-free substitutes for the Greek yogurt in this recipe?

        • Claire

Hi there! Thank you for pointing that out. I seemed to have forgotten to add “or yogurt of choice” in the ingredients. Any yogurt will work. I have fixed that in the recipe now. Hope you enjoy the recipe! 🙂

    Nice to see your blog!

Interesting health knowledge science, especially for children.

I opened a blog with my wife and am studying how to add matcha to more desserts. Maybe you can provide us with some feedback and suggestions.
